Another Junk Bag Update

August 31st, 2011 by

I wanted to share with all of you a comment that I received from Tracy on July 26th. She said that she had made a Junk Bag from my pattern and wanted to show me how she had embellished her bag. You can go to her blog here and see how she decorated her bag. I love the way she crocheted a doily just to go on her Junk Bag. It’s fun seeing all the ways that different people make their bags.

I also wanted to let you know that Charlotte’s Sew Natural is having a contest to give away the Junk Bag that she has at her store in Newton. Please go to Charlotte’s website here and check out the current Newsletter and read how you can get in on the contest to win the cute bag she has at her store and it sounds like it will be stuffed with lots of goodies. I’ll have a monthly update real soon, so stay tuned for more of what’s happening here at Jackie Clark’s Designs.

Dessert Club!

April 12th, 2010 by

DSC01303How FUN!  Cottonwood Quilts of Hutchinson sent me this photo of the gals in the Desert Club that made Junk Bags as one of their patterns.  There are 24 ladies in the group.  Look at all the different colors, styles and design ideas they came up with off the pattern!

I love that this shop encourages sewing groups that build lasting friendships.  What a delight to see their  creations and to feel the excitement of being a part of that creativity!  I am sending new products and a gift to Cottonwood Quilts for keeping me posted and sending the photo of their sewing friends working on one of my patterns.

If you have a group that has used one of my patterns or fabrics, send me a photo and your story!  I would love to post it on my blog.  Send your information to:

Getting in gear for market

September 30th, 2009 by

This is the design wall in my sewing room.  It holds projects I am working on, prototypes of patterns and samples that are being interviewed.  Right now it is loaded with junk bag examples in all kinds of color variations.  The bag that is on the cover of the pattern was made using Moda fabrics and will be on display in their booth at Fall Quilt Market.  I am not setting up a booth this fall, but instead get to booth hop, take the quilt store tour and go to School House.  I can’t wait to visit with everyone – it’s so hard to do the visiting when you have to focus on the booth.   I am planning to set up a booth at Spring  Market in Minneapolis.

Happy, productive, awesome market wishes to everyone!
