About Jackie

In her sewing room with her staff.
For Jackie a day without sewing is like a day without sunshine. Jackie was raised in rural Wichita, Kansas and learned to sew and stitch as a young girl around 12 years of age. Jackie comes from several generations of seamstresses. Her mother is a fabulous quilter and sister is a crochet artist.
At first, she started with custom sewing and now she does it for the sheer love and pleasure of creating lovely things. Jackie has been able to create and design many things throughout the years. Jackie likes learning about quilt history and collecting vintage textiles. She became a small business owner when she opened “Once Again Clothing” that specialized in the clothing resale business in the early 90’s. The business started in her basement from her thrifty finds and eventually evolved into opening the store. Her next business venture was “Vintage Boutique” which specialized in antiques home and garden decor.
Currently her most fulfilling business endeavor has been designing her own patterns, books and fabric line. Jackie has been able to do all these things, through prayer, the support of creative people around her and God. She says, “It’s truly a gift from God that I’m able to inspire women around the world to be creative and keep sewing alive.”
