Sweet Ava

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

It just doesn’t get any better than this! Ava’s mommy, Angie called to tell me Ava woke up smiling this morning. Heaven!
These baby feet are sticking out of some soft Flurr fabric. It’s wonderful to the touch. I use it in several of my patterns and projects. The Picket Fence in Wichita now carries Flurr (316-558-8899).

Big Thank You

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

At the Houston Quilt Festival, I was delighted to be able to teach several classes this year. I had wonderful students, very talented and creative.

The ladies shared stories with me and with each other as they worked. It was such a nice environment. I learned so much during this time.
Most of the students were able to complete their projects and let us take pictures!
These gals had a cute story. The didn’t know each other before the class. The gal in the dark sweater had twin grandchildren she wanted to make jackets for. The other gal didn’t bring any fabric.. they got together and shared and both jackets got made!
It was fun to see every one’s fabric choices.
This gal was able to complete two jackets!
I just want my students from all the classes to know how much I appreciated their time, their efforts and their sharing.
This was taken in my booth with the hard working gals from Windham Fabrics. They were so fun to visit with.
This is a view from upstairs of the show layout. It’s just huge!
If you look close, you can see my sign!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, the samplers, and who signed up for classes. You are all appreciated so much!
