Quilted Keepsake Binder!

Here at JCD we have been very excited to make our own project books. Using the pattern from Sweetest Gifts, each of the girls got to pick fabrics to cover their Quilted Keepsake Binder.

We tore out pages from favorite magazines, took a few pictures, and used fabric, ribbon and scrapbooking stickers and ideas to make our personalized project idea notebooks. Steph picked a scrap from a bright crazy quilt style patchwork I had laying around. The front has crochet, lace and ribbon and wild fabrics. Her notebook is filled with pillows and bedding and bedroom decorating ideas that use tons of fabric!
I can’t wait to start mine.. where does the time go?

A Charmed Life

While creating some tags last week, Steph and Bev and I were so excited about how small and cute my pattern covers looked when they were reduced to a half inch jpeg. Steph said she wished we could make them into charms! Everything stopped. The ideas went flying. The next thing I knew, Steph had made charms and created a bracelet that she and Bev and Claudia gave to me as a gift last week. I couldn’t wait to wear it. We decided it would work better as a necklace, though and I spent the afternoon digging out beads and playing! How charming!

Pattern Packing!

Daddy’s heart surgery was rough, but he has made a good recovery. We feel so blessed. He has come and rested while we work and this visit felt like helping!
Mom made a wonderful coconut cream pie.. HOMEMADE!
